Participation in the conference is generally free of charge.


Undoubtedly, retail banking has undergone numerous changes in the past.  A glance at younger generations indicates an ongoing change process that is likely to accelerate in the near future. Consequently, banks must ask themselves how to react to and handle changes induced by technologies such as Smartphones and Tablet PCs. Various industry experts from leading companies such as Deutsche Bank, IBM and T-Systems will offer insights and jointly discuss this new challenge with members of the E-Finance Lab.

Dr. Joachim Nagel, president of Deutsche Bundesbank, will open the E-Finance Lab Spring Conference 2013 in the early afternoon. In the evening, Dr. Thomas Schäfer (Minister of Finance of Hesse) and Dr. Hermann-Josef Lamberti (formerly Deutsche Bank) as well as the president of Goethe University, Professor Müller-Esterl, will close the event with their speeches honoring the 10th anniversary of the E-Finance Lab.


The E-Finance Lab Spring Conference 2013 starts on Wednesday, February 27 with a reception at 14.00.

During the afternoon program (14.30-17.00), several talks involving various industry and research experts will take place around the topic „10 Years E-Finance Lab: Opportunities of IT for the Retail Banking of the Future.“

At 17.30, the E-Finance Lab Spring Conference 2013 features a panel discussion around the topic „Banking for the Digital Natives Generation“.

The evening event “10 Years E-Finance Lab“ will start at 19.00 and encompasses catering and a live music performance.
