Abstract

Financial institutions are facing some of the most challenging times in their history and retail banking is no exception. Quickly changing market conditions require a high level of flexibility and ability to follow the dynamics - innovation is key. Turning the card, during the past decade there has been a constant discussion of industrialization of banking and about the right sourcing approach.
In this article, taking German retail certificates as an example we will suggest that our approach of Operational Excellence offers the opportunity to align innovation and industrialization.
From our point of view Operational Excellence combines quality seen from the client's perspective, an effective sourcing strategy and efficiency based on qualitative monitoring, analyses and improvement.
